Qatar Classroom environment contest

17th December, 2015

During Qatar National Week, each class will choose a Qatar theme to decorate the classroom. Students can decorate the walls, the door, and/or desks. They also can bring themed foods and choose something to wear in the theme. Judging will take place on December 17th and will be divided into age-based categories and the prize will be an Ice-Cream Party for the winners!

Qatar Classroom environment contest Winners

Congratulations to our winners in the Qatar theme contest. Judging was done by our Admin team with the help of members from the Student Council. The winners will have an Ice-Cream party after the break. Winners and categories as follow:

Qatari Souq

13th - 17th December, 2015

The Boys came up with the idea of holding a "Souq" on the last day of class. The idea is that the Souq would reflect the theme of the classroom. They will set up tables in the soccer field and younger classes will come around and "buy" things and learn. There could be face painting, crafts, information tables etc.

Boys’ Football Tournament

13th - 17th December, 2015

Boys from Grade 5 – 9 will be taking part in a football tournament. The boys will be grouped into different colour teams. Schedules for matches are to be announced later.

Staff Celebration Dinner

Location: Al Shaami Restaurant

Time: 6pm

All staff are invited to celebrate HUBS passing the annual BC Ministry of Education Accreditation and the end of term one.

Qatar National Week

13th - 17th, December, 2015

Hayat School will be celebrating Qatar national week during 13th -17th December. Students engage in various activities learning about Qatar heritage and culture in this week. A schedule will be sent home with the students. For more information and schedule please click attached link

Parents can help during this week by sending in traditional Qatari ornaments and traditional clothes items for the week. We will send the items back with your children. Please label your child’s full name & grade.

Yellow Color Day

PREK- KG1 students and teachers participate in Yellow Color Day. Students involve themselves in art and craft activities using the yellow color and celebrate with friends in the classroom.

Hayat High 5 Assemblies: Be Responsible

Hayat High Five certificates for being responsible will be given to students during this Assembly. The schedule will be as follows:

Goalz Soccer Program

8th November, 2015 - 18th December, 2015

Goalz program for G4-8 boys will start on 8th November. Schedule will be sent out to everyone. The duration of this program is form 8th November until 18th December for the PE lessons.

Please note: There will be a consent form that the coach will be giving students on the first day, they must sign this and return to the Coach. He will be providing incentives to ensure forms are all signed and returned.

BC Accreditation Visit
