HUBS Student Council Food Sale For Charity

The HUBS Student Council organized a food sale for the whole school on Thursday April 10th. Parents generously donated many food and drink items, and there was a huge variety of food available for the students to purchase. Some of the Grade 7 girls also joined forces with the Student Council on this day, donating food and helping out with the selling. Their goal was to raise money to support a local orphanage. The students worked enthusiastically all day selling food, and many staff and other students also helped out at various times. The Student Council raised an astounding 13,324 riyals, out of which 4,500 riyals will go to the orphanage and a large remaining sum to Qatar Charity. Well done to the Student Council for organizing and conducting such a successful school-wide event!

A Special Teacher Comes Back to HUBS - Ms Donna!

We welcome Ms Donna back to HUBS. She will be with us for 9 days April 6th to April 15th. Ms Donna worked at HUBS in Curriculum and Instruction beginning the first year we opened until June 2012. Many of us know her for her friendliness and expertise. The children remember her as a teacher who knows how to make learning fun. Ms Donna returns to work with HUBS teaching staff and to present a Parent Workshop. She tells us she is very happy to be here and is amazed to see the growth of the school building, the increase in number of students and how much taller all her little friends are. She hopes that parents will say hello if they see her on campus and would like to invite parents to her Student Writing Workshop next week.
