Grade 10 – 12 (BC Graduation Program)
Hayat Universal School students complete their studies through the British Columbia, Canada Graduation Program which culminates in the award of the Dogwood Diploma to all successful graduates. In British Columbia, the Ministry of Education’s curriculum department sets the standard for all courses, including courses in the Graduation program. As a Certified Offshore School with the Ministry of Education in British Columbia, the Hayat Program must follow the program of studies required by the Ministry of Education in British Columbia, including both required and optional courses.
Upon successful completion of the required courses and credits, Hayat Graduates will receive the same high standard Graduation Certificate awarded to successful graduates in Canada. This Certificate, or Dogwood Diploma, is one the most highly regarded graduation certificates allowing graduates to attend Universities and Colleges in Canada, the United States and around the world.
The Dogwood Diploma Certificate is awarded by the Ministry of Education in British Columbia.
The BC Ministry of Education has recently released a new curriculum. Successful completion of the Graduation Program under the new curriculum requires passing two provincial exams in Literacy and Numeracy. Students may take these exams in grade 11 or 12.
